Norwood Ends Hingham Post's Season in Extra Innings
Hingham Post's season ended Tuesday, after a 12 inning loss to Norwood.

It took Norwood 12 inning to knock the underdog No. 4 seeded Hingham Legion Post #120 out of the South Sectional Playoffs on Tuesday.
The Hingham summer baseball squad never quit all season and although being underdogs, they fought the No. 1 ranked Norwood Post # 70 and took them the distance.
With both teams facing elimination in the double-elimination-semi-final round, Hingham was leading by six runs in the bottom of the twelfth, and it seemed as if they were ready to advance to the finals. But like the night before - when Norwood scored six runs off South Attleboro in the ninth but fell short - they rallied, and this time the story would have a historic ending.

Norwood's Brandon Davis smacked a two-run single with two outs in the twelfth, to propel Norwood to an incredible seven-run inning to beat Hingham 13-12 .
Hingham suffered each of its two losses in South Sectional at the hands of Norwood. On Sunday, Norwood beat Hingham, 8-1 at a game which was played in Norwood. Facing elimination on Monday night, Hingham defeated Duxbury 8-5.

With Tuesday's victory, Norwood played South Attleboro in the finals later the same night.
South Attleboro was the winner as they look to move on to the next round.
