The Old Colony Montessori School Art Program

Old Colony Montessori School art instructor, Lynn Titleman Rizzotto, leads students by using nature as inspiration.

October 19, 2015 - Hingham, MA - Old Colony Montessori School (OCMS) Art Program, with instructor Lynn Titleman Rizzotto, is currently on display in the window of Carolann’s in Downtown Hingham. OCMS Elementary Program students regularly use nature as inspiration during their weekly art lessons with the local well-known artist.

OCMS participated in the 2015 downtown Hingham Arts Walk, sponsored by the Hingham Downtown Association, this past weekend by handing out packets of sidewalk chalk and crayons to all children that visited the event on Sunday, October 18, 2015. OCMS students had artwork on display downtown, highlighting various elements of the Art Program instruction.

Serving as inspiration to the OCMS students, the organic gardens on the OCMS campus now adorn bird houses painted by the Elementary students and examples of the student’s work can be found in and around the Children’s House and Elementary buildings.
