Old Colony Montessori School Holds Open House in Hingham

Old Colony Montessori School will hold an Open House on Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon.

Prospective parents are invited to tour the OCMS campus, meet with the school director, teachers and staff members, according to Courtney Palek, the school's Development Coordinator.  Guests can also visit the elementary and Children’s House classrooms. 

Parents will also be invited to view the Montessori Materials and have their questions answered while visiting the school.

Celebrating 50 years, Old Colony Montessori School is one of the oldest Montessori schools in the country, fully accredited and recognized by the Association Montessori Internationale.  The AMI was founded in 1929 by Dr. Maria Montessori to maintain the integrity of her life’s work, and to ensure that it would be perpetuated after her death. Currently, OCMS is the only school on the South Shore to hold this accreditation.
