Parents Given the Opportunity to Meet New Student Services Director at SEPAC Workshop
The hiring of Liz Flynn was criticized by many, but on Thursday the new Director of Student Services will get a chance to greet many Hingham mothers.

The Hingham Special Education Parent Advisory Council will give a presentation on Parents’ Rights and Responsibilities” on Thursday.
The presentation will be given by Liz Flynn , the school department’s new Director of Student Services. For many Hingham parents of students with special needs, this will be their first chance to meet Flynn.
The school department was criticized by many parents last year when Flynn was hired because she was an attorney.

Thursday’s workshop will include an introduction to parents’ rights and responsibilities under:
• Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA)
• Massachusetts Special Education Law; and
• No Child Left Behind (NCLB).

The presentation will be held, in Room 103 at Hingham High School, from 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
