The new Hingham High School Track has been completed, Hingham Principle Dr. Paula Girouard McCann said in an email on Friday.
The $600,000 new eight lane track (six around) is a significant upgrade from the old deteriorating turf track, which was originally laid in 1985 and resurfaced in 1995-96. The old track also included a three-foot slope which has also been removed during this summer's construction.

The town is still working on the $275,000 phase two of the fields project, which is to improve the athletic fields and potentially fix the bleachers and drainage problems.
