Planet Fitness to Open Next Week in Hingham

Hingham is about to get a lot more fit.  Planet Fitness is expected to open in town on Saturday, June 25, manager Lisa Quinlan said.  The signs are up, and the weights and machines were delivered at the 18,000 square foot gym, earlier this week.

Quinlan said if the building passes fire inspections later this week, the gym will open next Saturday.

Right now residents who want to join Planet Fitness can stop by the new location and pre-register for a discount price of $10 per month after placing $1 down. Residents can also purchase a the gym's Black Card, which is $19.99 per month.  This sale is now being offered at the new Hingham location on week days from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and on weekends from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Residents who already belong to a Planet Fitness can transfer their membership online at planetfitness.com. 

The new gym is epected to be open on Monday-Thursday from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m.; Friday from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m.; and weekends from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
