Second-Offense OUI Case in Hands of Jury
Brian O'Neil, 42, of 83 Summer St., Apt. 3, Hingham had charges of second-offense drunk driving, negligent driving, and a marked lanes violation continued to March 7 for a jury trial in Hingham District Court. The charges stem from a Oct. 3, 2011 incident in Hingham at 9:25 p.m. when police responded to a report of a two-car accident on North Street.

Eli A. Connarton, 30, of 1670 Bay Road, Stoughton had a charge of operating under the influence of alcohol continued without a finding of guilty to Dec. 9, 2013 in Hingham District Court. A related charge of negligent driving was dismissed. The charges stemmed from a Oct. 24, 2010 traffic stop on Route 53 in Hingham. Connarton also loses his drivign priveleges for 45 days, according to court records.

Michael J. Adams, 54, of 210 Charles St., Hingham had a charge of assault and battery continued to Jan. 4 in Hingham District Court. The charge stems from a July 27 incident in Hingham at 4:47 p.m. when police were dispatched to Pleasant Street for a report of a woman yelling for help.
Jury to Decide OUI case in February
Benjamin G. Solivan, 40, of 71 Old Farm Road, Mansfield had charges of drunken driving and a marked lanes violation continued to Feb. 13 for a jury trial in Hingham District Court. The charges stem from a June 19, 2011 incident in Hingham at 1:31 a.m. when police allege to have observed a white Chevy sedan operating in an erratic manner and stopped the vehicle. Solivan was charged after field sobriety tests, police said in the report.
Braintree Woman Arraigned on Larceny Charge
Melissa L. McVay, 32, of 141 Hobart St., Braintree was arraigned in Hingham District Court on a charge of larceny over $250. The case was continued to Dec. 19. The charge stems from a Sept. 27 incident in Hingham at 2:58 p.m. when police were dispatched to Kohl's Department Store for a report of a female shoplifter being detained. Police said McVay allegedly was observed putting items of clothing into a shopping bag that contained items already paid for, then walked out of the store without paying $599 for the other items, police said in the report.
