Drug, trespassing charges dismissed
Mahmood I. Abdul-Ghafor, 34, of 108 Quincy Ave., Winthrop had charges of trespassing, vehicle operator refusing to identify himself, and two counts of possession of a Class C drug dismissed in Quincy District Court. The charges stemmed from a May 16, 2011 incident in Hingham at 2:30 p.m. when police were dispatched to the area of the railroad tracks along Summer Street after someone spotted an alleged trespasser. Police found the male suspect walking in the middle of the tracks and confronted him. Police said the man gave conflicting responses so they brought him into custody. During booking police alleged they found two pills on the man without a prescription for them.
