Police Investigating Attempted Break-in on New Bridge Street.

The attempt is the second to be reported in as many days.

Only a day after a house break on Friend Street, police are reporting another attempted break-in, this time on New Bridge Street.

At 2:53 p.m. on Wednesday, a person who lived at the home discovered two windows that were tampered with according to police. One window on the side of the house had the screen removed and the glass window pushed up several inches. The resident had blocks in place on the window that prevented it from being opened more than several inches.

A second window, on the rear of the house, had the screen removed and was found resting on the ground against the house. That window was also locked and entry was not made into the house.
