Police Investigating High Street Break-in

Police say the break-in took place around 9:40 a.m.

Hingham police are asking the public for information regarding a break-in on High Street near the intersection of French Street.

Officers responded to a burglar alarm activation at 9:40 a.m. Wednesday morning and found the house had been broken into.

When police arrived on the scene, they observed that the side door to the house had been forced or kicked open causing the door frame and lock to be damaged.

After checking the house for any suspects, the Hingham K9 attempted to track the suspects but it appears they used a vehicle.

A TV from the living room was the only thing taken. It appears the suspects entered the house and once the audible alarm began sounding, fled with only time to steal the television and not continue through into the rest of the house.
