Police Log: Drug Possession, Squirrel Cuts the Power, and More

June 3

11:52 a.m. - A two-car accident was reported by the Route 3 ramp on Derby Street. The vehicles were gone on arrival.

4:48 p.m. - A caller reported a male on Issac Sprague Drive going door to door selling extermination services. The caller said he was there the last few days. Police were unable to locate the male.

5:54 a.m. - A caller on Thaxter Street reported a loud bang before the power went out. Hingham fire reported a dropped fuse in front of a pole on the street due to a squirrel.

11:10 a.m. - During a motor vehicle stop on Old Derby Street, Steven Charpentier, 45, of Scituate, was arrested and charged with possession of a Class A drug; possession of a Class B drug; operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license ( subsequent offense); not having a license in possession; and not having an inspection sticker.
