Police Log: Hingham Tenant Arrested After Destroying Home

Wednesday, March 20: 

At 8:41 a.m. a caller reported large pot holes on East Street.

At 1:46 p.m. a caller reported smoke in a Downer Street garage.

At 9:28 p.m. a suspicious tan-yellow minivan was reported in the Wanders Drive area.  The operator was described as a white male, 35-40 years of age with dark hair.

At 11:34 p.m. police arrested Robert McAulife, 56, of 291 Rockland Street for destruction of property at his residence.  The caller reported McAulife was a renter of the unit and described him as out of control.

Thursday, March 21:

At 3:42 p.m. a caller reported items stolen from his boat on Lazell Street.
