Police Log: Man Carries Musket in Hingham Dunkin Donuts Parking Lot
The following excerpts are from the Hingham police log from April 22-24. The arrest information does not indicate a conviction.

Monday, April 22:
At 8:21 p.m. a caller reported a man sitting in his car with a large gun, while parked at the Dunkin Donuts on Whiting Street. The caller said the man made no threats but she was suspicious why he had the weapon. Police pulled over the man’s vehicle at the nearby intersection of Main and Scotland Street and determined that the gun was a non-operational antique musket.
At 11:15 a.m. a caller reported a suspicious man wrapped in a sleeping bag near the pond at More Brewer Park.

At 2:46 p.m. a caller reported a brush fire behind the Sleepy’s at the Hingham Shipyard.
Tuesday, April 23:

At 8:46 a.m. a crossing guard at the Hingham Middle School reported a vehicle refused to stop for her and drove over the grass along the sidewalk. Police could not locate the vehicle.
At 1:20 p.m. police arrested Matthew Armstrong, age 36 of Dorchester for stealing items worth more than $250 from the Kohl’s Department Store at the Derby Street Shoppes.
Wednesday, April 24:
At 2:25 p.m. a man reported a loose pit bull came running and barking at him and his daughter on High Street.
At 11:11 p.m. police arrested Stephen Wright, age 33 of Quincy for destruction of property and larceny over $250 on Derby Street. The arrest was made after a nearby employees witnessed Wright steal a crate from a construction site on Derby Street.
