Police Log: Man in Stolen Vehicle Caught in Hingham Square

Monday, August 5:
At 10:47 a.m. a caller on Emerald Street reported a phone scam. The caller stated he received a call from someone trying to offer him a free car.
At 3:10 p.m. police arrested Ronald Jenkins, age 45 of Manchester, NH on warrant charges of receiving a stolen vehicle, failure to stop for police, failure to stop for a signal and driving with a suspended license. The arrest was made on South Street.

At 6:01 p.m. a caller reported a dumpster fire at the corner of Gardner Street and Fox Run Way. An area of the street was shut as the Fire Department ran a hose across the road.
