Police Log: Shoplifter Busted for Disorderly, Aggressive Deer Liberated

Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2013

A caller reported a coyote standing in her yard, possible injured, for about a half hour just before noon at 6 West St. The animal control officer responded.

At 4:42 p.m., a two-car accident at the Hingham Rotary did not require emergency transport.

Monday, Nov. 4, 2013

Police responded to the Shoe Market at Derby Street Shoppes at 10:43 a.m. after receiving a call about a woman attempting to steal a $220 pair of boots. She then got into a verbal argument outside the store.

Mikia Lee, 21 of Boston, was charged with assault and battery and disorderly conduct.

A caller reported to police at 12:11 p.m. that a deer had been stuck in a fence for a couple days at 400 Linden Ponds Way. Security at Linden Ponds confirmed the deer was alive, entrapped and getting aggressive. The animal control officer responded and freed the animal.
