Police Log: Stolen Boat, OUI After Hit and Run, and More

The following is from the Hingham Police Log. Where arrests and charges are mentioned, they do not imply conviction.


March 31
1:24 p.m. - During a motor vehicle stop near Margett’s Field on Ward Street, Daniel Reid, 56, of Hull, was arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, subsequent offense; not having an inspection sticker; possession of a Class B drug; and possession of a Class A drug,subsequent offense.

7:32 p.m. - During a motor vehicle stop on Lincoln Street, Andrew Vaillancourt, 29, of Hull, was arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license.

April 1
10:26 a.m. - A caller on Lincoln Street told police that his 30-foot lobster boat went missing.

10:11 p.m. - A caller reported a car crash on Gardner Street. A male at the scene said a vehicle took off at about 70 MPH toward Hingham Street. Police were able to find the vehicle in the park and ride and the operator, Jeremy Hunt, 31, of Hull, was arrested and charged with leaving the scene of personal injury, resisting arrest, operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, and his second OUI liquor offense.
