Police Log: Teen With Rifle, B-Ball Hoop Stolen, Wipers Taken From Car

The following excerpts are from the Hingham police log from April 30-May 1. The arrest information does not indicate a conviction.

Tuesday, April 30:

At 4:46 a.m. a caller reported a small brush fire on Cushing Street.

At 11:44 a.m. a caller reported vandalism done to a house under construction on Summer Street.

At 1:40 p.m. police arrested Paul Dillon, 45 of Hingham for operating under the influence of alcohol for a sixth time.  SEE STORY.

At 1:58 p.m. a caller reported a shoplifter was detained at the Kohl’s Department Store at the Derby Street Shoppes.

At 5:13 p.m. a caller reported a mulch fire at the Bed Bath & Beyond at the Hingham Shipyard.
At 6:18 p.m. a caller reported a teen ran across the street with a rifle.  Police questioned the 17-year-old teen and noticed he was carrying an air rifle.  He was asked to keep the object out of site and on his property.

At 9:03 p.m. police arrested a 49-year-old Roxbury man for driving with a suspended license. 

Wednesday, May 1:

At 8:26 a.m. a caller reported a wounded cat on Brewster Road.

At 8:45 a.m. a caller on Keith Way reported a basketball hoop was stolen from his property.

At 2:52 p.m. a caller reported his windshield wipers were stolen at either the Nantasket Junction Station or the Pilgrim Skating Arena.
