The following information was provided by the Hingham Police Department. Where arrests are mentions, it does not indicate a conviction.

Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2013
Hingham police received a report at 3:11 p.m. that a school bus had hit a road closure detour sign at the intersection of Lincoln and North streets. There were no injuries or damage.
Two minutes later, a caller told police that a pack of turkeys was refusing to leave the road at Chief Justice Cushing Highway and East Street, causing a traffic jam.
The animal control officer and 911 responded and found nothing in the area.
Then, three hours later, a turkey was spotted once again in the same spot in the road, apparently without its buddies. Three motor vehicles had also parked on the side of the road in the area. The ACO responded.
