Police Log: Two Hingham Homes Broken Into, Cigarette Causes Fire

Friday, April 19:

At 10:24 a.m. a caller reported a dispute between a landlord and tenant.

At 10:44 a.m. a caller on Smith Way reported her home was broken-into. Enrty was gained through the home’s French Doors which were smashed in.

At 11:08 a.m. a caller reported a home on Smith Road was broken into. The suspect entered by pushing in the air condition.

At 1:14 p.m. a caller reported a mulch fire in the 100 block of Main Street.  A cigarette caused the fire.

At 4:22 p.m. a caller reported an elderly man with a cane was hitchhiking on Leavitt Street.

At 9:55 p.m. a caller reported sterling silver was stolen from her Thaxter Street home.
