Police Log: Teens Caught With Alcohol

The following excerpts are from the Hingham police log from August 1-4. The arrest information was supplied by the Hingham Police Department and does not indicate an arrest.

Thursday, August 1:

At 10:38 a.m. a caller reported a vehicle struck a the John T Associates building at 175 Derby Street.

At 10:13 p.m. police arrested four teens for alcohol after a traffic stop was made.  Meghan McIver, 18 of Hanover and Aaron Travis, 19 of Weymouth were arrested for possession of liquor while Alyssa Richmond, 19 of Hanover and Frank Greco, 19 of Hanover were arrested for an open container and possession of liquor.  The arrests were made on George Washington Blvd.

Friday, August 2:

At 12:40 a.m. police arrested Shane McDonough, 26 of Houston, Texas for malicious destruction of property over $250 in the area of the Snug Pub on North Street.

At 1:24 p.m. a caller reported items stolen from her boat at Hewitts Cove.

Saturday, August 3:

At 10:52 a.m. a caller reported a moving truck knocked over a stop sign at the corner of Pleasant Street and Union Street. 

On Saturday afternoon, police arrested Joan McNeill, 51 of Dorchester for larceny over $250 and shoplifting items over $100 by aspiration at the Chico’s at the Derby Street Shoppes.

At 9:30 p.m. a caller on Independence Lane returned home to find a bat in the home. 

At 11:50 p.m. police arrested Sean Galvin, 31 of Hingham for operating under the influence of alcohol (third offense) and reckless operation of a motor vehicle on Lincoln Street by the CVS.

Sunday, August 4: 

At 1:29 a.m. a caller reported youths drinking in a home on Kimball Beach Road.

At 6:58 a.m. police arrested Wayne Baley, 36 of Plymouth and Marc Panaro, 37 of Pembroke for trespassing on the Hingham Middle School construction site.  The men were arrested for possession of burglarious instruments, trespassing, breaking and entering during the daytime , resisting arrest, drug possession, larceny over $250 and destruction of property over $250. At 12:00 p.m. an employee at the Loring Theater on Main Street reported a safe was broken into at the theater.

At 8:31 p.m.  a caller reported hearing 6-7 gunshots on Summer Street. 

On Sunday evening, police arrested a 48-year-old Braintree man for driving with a suspended license on Langlee Road.
