The Hingham Recreation Commission were preparing t-shirts and numbers yesterday for the the 53rd annual Hingham Fourth of July Road Race.
Hingham Rec. member Faith Burbank said over 700 runners have already registered and said the race usually has 2,000 participants.
Number and T- Shirts are already available at the Hingham Recreation Center right next to the . They can be picked up from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. now until Friday. They are also available for pickup on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 9 a.m. to noon.

Registration for the race cost $18 through July 3 and $20 the day of the race. According to the Recreation Dept. proceeds for the race benefit department programs, special events, equipment and supplies and fund scholarships for up to 32 children to attend the Summer Playground Program.
