Resident Home During Friday Morning Attempted Break-in
The following information was provided by the Hingham Police Department. Where arrests are mentions, it does not indicate a conviction.

A Summer Street resident scared off a person trying to break into his home Friday morning.
The man, who lives on the street in Hingham near the Nantasket Junction MBTA Station, told police that someone was continuously ringing his door bell Friday just after 11 a.m.
He did not answer the door, and the suspect, a white male, went to a side entry door and broke out a small window to the door, according to a message sent out Friday afternoon by the Hingham Police Department.
"The resident then yelled at the suspect and the suspect fled the from the residence," police said.
The suspect was driving an older model GMC Jimmy or Chevy Blazer light in color, possibly white.
