Robbers Ransack Hingham Home

Cabinet drawers were pulled out and emptied onto the floors of the house during the break-in on Tuesday.

A Hingham home was robbed of jewelry and rolled coins during a daytime break in on Tuesday.

Police say the suspects entered the Summer Street house through an unlocked rear door near Route 3A Rotary, according to the Hingham Police Facebook page.

The break-in occurred between 5:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. while the resident was not home. The resident discovered her house had been robbed when she returned home.

Police reported that the suspects quickly ransacked the rooms of the house looking for valuables.

The cabinet drawers were pulled out and emptied onto the floor in the living room, the drawers in the bedrooms were dumped out and the couch cushions were thrown onto the floor, police said.
