Romney Receives 82 Percent of Vote in Hingham
A look at the full election results from the town of Hingham.

Hingham contributed to Mitt Romney’s large margin of victory in the Massachusetts Republican Primary on Tuesday.
Romney received 81.6 percent of the vote compared to Rick Santorum’s 12 percent. The former Massachusetts Gov. received 1,989 Hingham votes compared to Santorum’s 185.
Romney won 72 percent of the Massachusetts vote in the Republican primary, according to The New York Times. Romney also took Alaska, Idaho, Ohio Vermont and Virginia.

Santorum won in Oklahoma and Tennessee, and North Dakota. Newt Gingrich took his home state of Georgia with 48 percent of the vote, according to the Times.
In other races on Tuesday, the majority of Hingham voters selected John P. Cafferty of Hingham in the State Committee Man race on the Republican Ballot. Caffery received 58 percent of the vote compared to Peter J. Buckley of Cohasset who received 26 percent.

Only one candidate ran in the Republican State Committee Woman race and each of the Democratic State Committee Man and Woman races.
