Sat. Oct. 11th: The Blue Moon Coffeehouse features Award Winning Bluegrass with Twisted Pine

Sat. Oct. 11: The Blue Moon Coffeehouse features award winning bluegrass with Twisted Pine, winners of two major bluegrass band contests.

On Saturday, October 11th at 7:30 p.m. the Blue Moon Coffeehouse in Rockland, MA features Twisted Pine, recent winners of both the FreshGrass Bluegrass Festival band contest and the Thomas Point Beach Festival band contest.   Banjo player, Ricky Mier, also took top prize in the banjo contest at FreshGrass.   The band has played at many prestigious bluegrass festivals, including Greyfox, Club Passim’s “Down Home, Up Here” bluegrass festival, and the Joe Val Bluegrass Festival.   Twisted Pine is a Boston-Based 5 piece bluegrass band whose member all share a common love for the traditional music of Bill Monroe, Flatt & Scruggs, Jimmy Martin and the Stanley Brothers.   The band is composed of AdamMoore on bass and vocals, Kathleen Parks on fiddle and vocals, Rachel Sumner on guitar and vocals, Dan Bui on mandolin, and Ricky Mier on 5 string banjo.
