School Committee Unable to Confirm Any Further Progress on Middle School Project
The committee will update the school website to make the community aware of progress.

The Hingham School Committee focused on the continuing progress of various school projects at their meeting Monday night but they could not confirm any changes in the status of the Middle School Project.
and the recent submissions to the Massachusetts School Building Authority (MSBA), the committee hoped that any outstanding issues would now be agreed on or in an advanced stage of negotiation. However Raymond Estes, Chairman of the Building Committee, was unable to confirm any further progress on the project with formal agreement on the contract with designers Ai3 and the space summary still to be approved by the MSBA.
MSBA has given formal written approval for KBA architect, to be appointed as Project Manager but Estes hopes that the Building Committee will not just spend their time waiting for the final pieces in the preliminary jigsaw.

To make the community aware of the progress of the , they said the website will be enhanced with updated information. They also suggested that there should be live cable or telecasts (similar to how the Selectmen meetings are broadcast) by School Committee could be another means of continuing to outreach within the community to keep the community engaged.
The Hingham High School Fields Project is also making slow progress with initial negotiations between the Long Range Planning Committee and the US Tennis Association over a grant for the tennis courts taking place. Full support for this proposal will be sought at the next meeting of School Committee on July 18.
