Group auditions are required for the following ensembles:
Intermediate Choir (3rd - 5th Grades)
Concert Choir (6th - 8th Grades)

The mission of the South Shore Children’s Chorus is to provide quality musical education and vocal training to students living in the South Shore communities and beyond. SSCC keeps the development and well-being of our students as our top priority, and aims to create a safe space and loving community for choristers to learn, to grow, and to find their own voice. SSCC serves young singers ages 4-14 who are dedicated, responsible, and interested in receiving a well-rounded choral education. The SSCC is passionate about offering the experience of being a chorister to any student, regardless of financial situation.

SSCC Audition Requirements
-Meet the friendly SSCC Staff and fellow auditioning SSCC students & parents. Please plan to stay for 45 minutes - 1 hour, depending on how many other students are in your audition group.
-Sing a few vocal exercises as a group with other auditiong choristers, instructed by your SSCC Director.
-Learn a melody with your auditioning group and SSCC Director.
-Parents: plan to stay! We would love to use this time to get to know you, and to have you observe.
-SSCC Directors will then hear students individually, and provide a space for students and parents to have a snack and get to know each other.
-We always end each time together with singing as a group - so after the short individual sessions, we’ll gather together again.
...and that’s it! You’ll be singing with SSCC in no time!
