South Shore Conservatory and Bay Colony Shakespeare Company Present A Christmas Carol

"This is not your grandmother's Christmas Carol, but she surely would have loved it." Jack Craib, The South Shore Critic

South Shore Conservatory (SSC) and Bay Colony Shakespeare Company team up to present the IRNE award nominated one-man performance of A Christmas Carol on Friday, December 5, 8 pm at One Conservatory Drive in Hingham.

This is the second year that the Bay Colony Shakespeare Company, home based in Marshfield, is touring with their production of the Dickens’ favorite, which is appropriate for audiences age five and older.

Actor Neil McGarry deftly and brilliantly performs every character in this Victorian masterpiece. Using only Charles Dickens original text, McGarry creates a beautiful, lively performance that captivates the audience from start to finish. Fully produced, complete with dancing, this one man “tour de force” performance, directed by Ross MacDonald, has left both critics and audiences of all ages laughing and crying with joy, putting the Christmas back into A Christmas Carol.
