South Shore Conservatory Hosts Rhythm Run 5K and Fun Run

Proceeds benefit ImagineARTS, SSC's arts and literacy program

South Shore Conservatory invites the public to join its third annual Rhythm Run 5K and Fun Run, on Sunday, June 7.

Rhythm Run takes place at South Shore Conservatory’s Hingham campus at 1 Conservatory Drive. The 5K race kicks off at 9 am, winding through neighboring Bare Cove Park and ending back at SSC. Approximately 300 runners from all over the South Shore are expected to participate. New this year, the race is chip timed and registration is through racewire.com. Prizes will be awarded to the overall winners, as well as the winners in each age category.

Children through the age of eight are invited to take part in the Fun Run in SSC’s circular driveway, where everyone is a winner. The Fun Run starts at 9:45 am so that 5K runners may join in the fun of watching the children’s race.

SSC students and faculty will perform during the all-ages event, which closes with a fun, family concert in the SSC’s Jane Carr Amphitheater. Proceeds from Rhythm Run benefit ImagineARTS, SSC’s arts and literacy partnership program.

Funds raised at Rhythm Run will provide critical support to ImagineARTS, giving more children in neighboring communities access to this unique outreach program that uses music and the arts to develop literacy skills and a love of reading.
