South Shore Conservatory Invites Families to Explore the Arts at Free Family Arts Festival
South Shore families to spend time together exploring music, dance, drama and instruments.
South Shore Conservatory (SSC) hosts a free Family Arts Festival on Sunday, September 27 from 12 to 2:30 pm at their Hingham campus. Open to the public, this event welcomes area families to spend time together exploring music, dance, drama and instruments.
Family Arts Festival kicks off with an interactive family concert with music, drama, and movement followed by an open house introducing the Conservatory’s many early childhood SSCreativeseeds programs. After the concert, children ages 3 to 10 are encouraged to use their “Arts Passport” to travel through a variety of fun activities which include:
- Music Together® and Music Sprouts classes

- Piano FUNdamentals sample class
- Suzuki Method Demonstrations

- Drum & Sing and Time Train music classes
- Curtain Going Up! drama class

- SSC Arts-Integrated Preschool, Pre-K and Kindergarten
Admission to all activities is free of charge. Families are welcome to tour the facilities, meet faculty and staff, and learn more about the broad range of programs offered for children of all ages and abilities. Families who attend are entered in a drawing to receive a $50 gift certificate toward any SSCreativeseeds program.

SSC was founded as a not-for-profit community music school in 1970 and now has two beautiful campuses in Hingham and Duxbury.
