South Shore Conservatory Opens Registration for 2015 Fall Arts Programs

Programs available at Hingham and Duxbury campuses for all ages

South Shore Conservatory (SSC) announces open registration for their fall 2015 performing arts programs for students of all ages at their Hingham and Duxbury campuses.

This fall SSC launches four new programs: Baby Yoga and Tot Yoga for babies and tots with a caregiver, Intermediate Jazz Dance for teen dancers and JRP Lab Ensemble, for student musicians with two or more years of playing experience on any instrument or voice who are interested in playing jazz, rock and pop.

Also offered this fall at the Conservatory’s Hingham and Duxbury campuses and in Cohasset, is SSC’s Music Together® program which gives students, ages infants through four, a gentle introduction to the world of music, and Music Sprouts for ages three through five, accompanied by a caregiver. These classes start the week of September 14.

Other classes available for students age four through nine are Drum & Sing, Time Train, Piano FUNdamentals, Group Guitar, Primo Voice Class, Mezzo Voice Class, Pop/Rock Vocal Tech and Songwriters’ and Composers’ Society.

A full menu of dance classes for all ages includes Creative Dance, Pre-Ballet, Hip Hop, Ballet Level 1 to 5, Ballet Repertoire and Variations, and Teen/Adult Beginner Ballet.

Drama takes center stage on both SSC campuses this fall with Curtain Going Up, Let’s Put on a Show and Saturday Stage Club.

Students who play an instrument or love to sing may participate in programs such as Chamber Music, Rock Band, Fiddle Class, Bay Youth Orchestra (BaYS) and Pure Treble and Pure Harmony children’s choruses. Please visit www.sscmusic.org for more information about scheduling and auditions.

For adults, SSC offers Woman Song as well as Adult Intro to Piano/Keyboard, Guitar or Violin, Adult Rock Band, Chamber Ensembles, Adult Jazz Workshop, Golden Voices and SSC Community Voices at both campus locations and Teen/Adult Beginner Ballet at the Duxbury campus.
