South Shore Conservatory's Arts-Integrated PreK and Kindergarten Students Present Spring Art Show

Young students display work inspired by Annie Leibovitz, Georgia O'Keefe, Wassily Kandinsky and others

South Shore Conservatory’s (SSC) arts-integrated PreK and Kindergarten presents an exhibit of student artwork inspired by well-known artists, on Wednesday, May 18 from 5 to 6:30 pm at One Conservatory Drive in Hingham. The art show is free and open to the public.

Student artists and teachers will be on hand to guide guests around their classroom “art museum,” displaying their visual masterpieces. SSC’s PreK class exhibit includes Woman with Loose Veil by Henri Matisse, as well as some Matisse leaf cut-outs, Wassily Kandinski’s Squares with Concentric Circles, Joseph Albers’ abstract art, Andy Warhol’s Campbell’s soup can pop art, and Annie Leibovitz-inspired photography.

SSC’s Kindergarten class exhibit showcases student artwork inspired by the study of fine art images from Paul Klee, Picasso, Faith Ringgold, Georgia O'Keeffe, Vincent Van Gogh, Kandinsky, Edward Hicks, and Charles Burchfield. Some of this artwork was featured at the Hingham Public Library earlier this year.
