South Shore Conservatory's Concert Series Presents Dynamic Duos
Multi-genre faculty concert of music for two pianos
South Shore Conservatory (SSC) invites the public to join their diverse and dynamic piano faculty as they team up to present Dynamic Duos, a multi-genre concert of music for two pianos, on Sunday, November 8, 4 pm at One Conservatory Drive in Hingham. The concert is repeated on Sunday, November 15, 4 pm at SSC’s Ellison Center for the Arts, 64 St. George Street in Duxbury. Dynamic Duos is the second in SSC’s renowned Conservatory Concert Series (CCS) 2015/16 season.
CCS concerts feature the extraordinary talents of the Conservatory’s faculty of almost 100 teachers. The series is generously sponsored in part by Boston Private. Admission to the concert is free, advancing SSC’s mission of expanding access to arts education and performance.
Dynamic Duos features Piano Department Chair Mark Goodman performing with Paul Hoffman, Margaret Li performing with her sister Edwina Li, Eugene Kaminsky performing with Xixi Zhou, and HuiMin Wang performing with Jonathan Roberts. This one-of-a-kind concert showcases both classical and contemporary music from such composers as William Bolcolm, Francis Poulenc and Sergei Rachmaninoff. Jonathan Roberts Concert Coordinator, worked his magic as he paired faculty together for this performance. Two pianos on stage will awe the audience, as they whisper and thunder under the fingers of SSC’s outstanding piano faculty.

Following the performance, the audience is invited to stay, enjoy free refreshments, and visit with the musicians to learn more about them.

South Shore Conservatory, recently recognized as a national model for arts education by the National Guild for Community Arts Education, is celebrating nearly 45 years of enriching the lives of South Shore residents through music and the arts. SSC was founded as a not-for-profit community music school in 1970 and now has two beautiful campuses in Hingham and Duxbury. Currently serving over 3500 students of all ages and abilities, SSC is the largest community school for the arts in Massachusetts.
