South Shore Conservatory's Concert Series Presents Homecoming: SSC Alumni in Concert

Featuring musicians with past ties to SSC

South Shore Conservatory’s renowned Conservatory Concert Series (CCS) proudly presents Homecoming: SSC Alumni in Concert, Sunday, March 15, 4 pm at One Conservatory Drive, Hingham. This CCS concert features some of SSC’s most talented alumni returning to impress the audience with a wealth of musical styles, from a bold percussion piece to an amazing operatic performance.

The Conservatory Concert Series is generously sponsored by Boston Private Bank & Trust Company. Thanks to their support, admission to the concerts is free, advancing the Conservatory’s mission of expanding access to arts education and performance. CCS features the extraordinary talent of the Conservatory’s faculty, and in the case of this concert, celebrates the guidance, influence and inspiration of SSC’s faculty over the last 45 years.

Performers scheduled to appear include vocalists Carly Hayes and Andrew Smith, pianist/composer Austin Mathews, and percussionists Will Edmundson, Tyler Manly, Sean Rose and Ben Murphy, with a few surprise guest artists, according to Director of Performance Beth MacLeod Largent. In addition to sharing their musical performance, each alumni performer offers stories of their amazing journey since their departure from SSC.
Following the performance, the audience is invited stay, enjoy some refreshments, and visit with the musicians to learn more about them.

Homecoming: SSC Alumni in Concert is the fifth of seven CCS concerts. Other upcoming performances include From Vienna with Love: An All-Mozart Extravaganza on April 19 in Duxbury and May 3 in Hingham, and Cedar Hill Jazz Club on June 19 in Hingham.
