Morrissey said the only known injury was blunt-forced trauma to the head. He would not specify if the CVP pipe and cylinder found at the scene were used.

Weymouth Police Chief Richard Grimes said officers have had contact with the suspect in the past , but would not go into detail on the reasons.

“We have had contact with Mr. (Michael) Beaudry in at least two occasions over the past two years,” Grimes said.  “None of them gave rise to a criminal activity at all.”

Morrisey also confirmed that the State Police Bomb Squad was called to the scene after suspicious items were found on the street that were believed to be home-made explosives.

“The State police bomb squad has confirmed to us that whatever the item was, it is of no danger,” Morrisey.

Morrisey said the incident is still under investigation by the Weymouth and State Police.  Family members are still being interviewed.

Suspect Michael Beaudry is a 2011 Weymouth High School graduate.  On his Facebook Page he has posted photos of himself wearing military-like camouflage and carrying what looks like a shotgun.  He’s also posing in pictures surrounded by magazine cut-outs of guns on the wall.
