State Senate Candidate Says She Doesn't Know What's Expected of a Legislator

When asked what she thought of the idea of a part-time legislator in Massachusetts, State Senate candidate Genevieve Davis (D-Norwell) admits that she does not know what's expected of a legislator.

State Senator Bob Hedlund (R-Weymouth) posted a youtube video on his Facebook page last week of his Democrat opponent  Genevieve Davis admitting that she does not know what's expected of a legislator.

In the recorded radio interview, Davis is asked what she thought of the idea of a part-time legislator in Massachusetts.

Davis honestly answers by saying, "I don't know the daily schedule of a legislator, I don't know what's expected of a legislator."

Davis, who is a Norwell Democrat, has never spent time in office.  She is a financial consultant who has over three decades of professional experience in the non-profit arena where she has devoted her energies to solving problems related to the needs of families and communities.

As a state senator,  Davis said she plans to increase employment opportunities for the residents of this district and the state.

In November, Davis will challenge State Senator, Hedlund, a nine-term incumbent. 

Hedlund graduated from Hingham High School, lives in Weymouth, and represents both towns along with Cohasset, Duxbury,  Hull, Marshfield, Norwell and Scituate.

Davis will oppose Hedlund on the ballot on Tuesday, November 6.
