Summer Family Concert Series Kicks Off at South Shore Conservatory

Parents' Choice Award winner Little Groove launches 5-concert series on 7/1

South Shore Conservatory’s popular summer family concert series Wacky Wednesdays expands in 2015 to five weekly concerts, on Wednesdays from July 1 through 29, 10 am in the Jane Carr Amphitheater, One Conservatory Drive, Hingham. WATD is the generous media partner for this family concert series.

Wacky Wednesdays 2015 launches with Little Groove, performs fun, catchy, educational music for children that adults find themselves dancing along to, using their bodies, voices, and instruments to contribute to the music. Singer-songwriter, guitarist, and pianist Sara Wheeler and acoustic Pop artist Erica Leigh encourage the audience to participate with by playing real instruments such as drums, shakers, and tambourines, while they dance, sing, and groove to songs about everything from playtime to planes, and rainbows to dogs!

Little Groove’s debut CD titled Building Blocks is a Parents’ Choice award winner and a NAPPA award winner. Wheeler founded Little Groove - Music Education for Children in 2005, which has musically educated over 5,000 families in Boston and the New England area.
