Summer Scoreboard: Hingham Stuns Brockton 17-6
No. 8 Hingham defeated Brockton 17-6 last night.

Hingham Post 120 American Legion baseball team stunned the No.1 ranked Brockton Post 35 last night in the first game of their playoff series.
The best-of-three game series shifts back to Hingham tonight, when the two teams will play at 5 p.m. at Cronin Field.
If the No.8 ranked, Hingham squad wins tonight, they will sweep the series and move on to the second round. If Brockton can bounce back with a win, the final game of the series will be played Thursday night in Brockton at Edgar Field at 5 p.m. The address for the field is 197 Dover Street.

The Winning pitcher for Hingham in Game 1 was Evan Flanagan. Sean Greene came in for 2 innings in relief. Hingham's Alex Pompeo went 4 for 4, including a 3 run homer to break the game open. Flanagan, Greene, and Pompeo were stars on the Hingham High School baseball team last Spring.
