Ten Hingham Schools to Benefit from Fruit Center Fundraiser
The Fruit Center will provide shopping vouchers on their website for 10 different Hingham school and when customers bring in the vouchers, the store will then donate 20 percent of their purchase back to their designated school.
The Hingham Fruit Center Marketplace is launching their annual fundraiser for Hingham Schools and this year it will benefit not just the public schools but also the private schools in town.
The Fruit Center will provide shopping vouchers on their website for 10 different Hingham school and when customers bring in the vouchers, the store will then donate 20 percent of their purchase back to their designated school. This fundraiser will run from Monday, November 5 through Friday, November 9.
“ Customers can present their vouchers at the checkout as many times as they like during the fundraising week,” said the Hingham Fruit Center's Marketing Director Michael Dwyer in an email. “At the end of the fundraising week, the Fruit Center will tally all purchases and donate 20 percent of the total sales to the designated school.

The following Hingham Schools can benfit from the fundraiser: Derby Academy, East School, Foster School, Hingham High School, Hingham Middle School, Notre Dame Academy, Old Colony Montessori, Plymouth River School, South School and St. Paul’s.
The last two years, only the Hingham public elementary schools have participated. In 2010, this fundraiser raised over $6,000 for the four schools.
