Today’s July 4th Festivities
Pancakes, Runners, and a Parade will all be in Hingham today.

Today is certainly that one day out of the year that you must spend in Hingham. Even if you have family barbecues to attend, or you want to catch the Red Sox game, or arrive home in time the Natan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest on ESPN, you still can but you must head into Hingham first. All the festivities will take place in the morning this year which leaves time for a full day of fun.
Head to Hingham Square or Main Street this morning to watch the Road Race and Parade. Also be sure to stop-by the Hingham Commons at some point for an all you can eat, Pancake Breakfast.

The Hingham Recreation Commission’s 53rd annual Fourth of July Road Race is 4.47 miles. The run begins at the down historic Main St., ending under huge flag with enthusiastic crowd in Hingham Square. Registration is $20 today between 5:30 am and 6:30 am.

There will be all-you-can eat All pancakes, sausages, orange juice/coffee. Prices are $5.00 for adults, $3.00 for kids (10 and under) and $18.00 family maximum. Military, police and fire personnel eat free! All the food and coffee will be donated by Hingham businesses such as Stars on the Harbor and Starbucks.
The Parade will start at the on Pleasant Street, travel East on Pleasant St., turn left onto Middle Street and will head North on Main St. to Hingham Square. The Parade will turn right onto North St. and finish at Station Street. In the parade will be antique cars, a marching band, boys and girls scouts, sports teams, and
