Two Hingham Elementary Schools Need Help Gardening

Garlic will be harvested at the South Elementary School and East Elementary School this week.

The East and South elementary schools need help harvesting garlic, which was planted last Fall.

Second graders at the East School and fourth graders at South School planted the garlic last November with the help of Holly Hill Farm in Cohasset.

Janice Brown McPhillips, Farm Educator and Outreach Coordinator at Holly Hill Farm, said anyone can come harvest the crop.

The garlic will eventually be shared with each school, according to McPhillips.
