Two Hingham Selectmen Endorse Sen. Hedlund In Upcoming Election
According to the committee to elect Senator Robert Hedlund, Hingham Selectmen Irma Lauter and Bruce Rabuffo will help take part in key campaign operations for the State Senator.

The committee to elect Senator Robert Hedlund announced earlier this week that two Hingham Selectmen have agreed to serve as campaign co-chairs for his upcoming Nov. 6 election against Genevieve Davis.
According to the committee, Hingham Selectmen Irma Lauter and Bruce Rabuffo will help take part in key campaign operations.
“I am honored and excited to have two of the three Hingham Selectman serve on my campaign as campaign co-chairs. Along with their service to my campaign, they will provide me with excellent insight in regards to the needs of the town of Hingham,” Senator Hedlund said in a press release.

Earlier this year, Hedlund worked with Hingham selectmen to fight for the MBTA ferry service to remain in Hingham. He also stood beside Hingham Selectmen when fighting Aquarion Water rate increases.
In the last legislative session Senator Hedlund was able to successfully pass Senate Bill 2040, which would give the Attorney General the same powers of intervention in water rate cases that it currently has in all other utility rate hike cases. This bill received the endorsement of the Attorney General, and will save municipalities thousands of dollars in legal fees. The money saved will go on to equate to record amounts of education funding and local aid for the town of Hingham.

Senator Hedlund grew up in Hingham and he currently lives in Weymouth. The Republican State Senator in his 9th term as State Senator for the Plymouth and Norfolk district. In November’s election he will oppose Davis, a Norwell Democrat.
