Vehicle Strikes Pole, Sets Fire in Hingham Neighborhood

A driver was rescued by the Hingham Fire Department early Saturday morning after the vehicle struck a pole on Daley Road.

The vehicle was set on fire as a result of the crash and the Hingham Fire Dept. broke the sunroof  and assisted the driver out safely away from wires, according to the Hingham Police Department's Twitter Page.

The incident occurred at 3:27 a.m. and the Fire Department was able to extinguish the flames, according to the police log.
