In Manhattan, the club will watch three Broadway shows and then enroll in multiple workshops with the professional actors. This year, the students will take workshops on audition and dance and another workshop dedicated to Shakespeare, to prepare for their upcoming spring performance, “Twelfth Night.
In addition to the workshops, the club will also spend time in China Town and at the Madam Tussaud Wax Museum.

“It’s amazing,” said sophomore J.T. Tompkins “Broadway is one of the coolest places to be. I love watching professionals act so I can see them and derive things from them.”
Over the last month, the club competed in a 115 school, state-wide theater competition, the Massachusetts Educational Theater Guild. The school outperformed over a hundred high schools throughout Massachusetts including Somerville, Boston College High School, Brookline, and Franklin to reach the State Finals. Even though last weekend, they did not advance past the 14 school final round, advancing to the finals was a major accomplishment for the group.
