Weekend Events in Hingham: June 27-28

Summer Sidewalk Sale

Get out Friday and Saturday for the in Hingham Square. Businesses will sell items right on the sidewalks of Main Street, South Street, and North Street.  There will be artists, crafters, wood carvers, antique cars, face painting for children, farmers market vendors as well as hot sales from your favorite Hingham local businesses.

Kids Cabaret Concert

The will be performing their summer musical, “Thoroughly Modern Millie Junior” on Friday and Saturday at Hingham High School and the public is welcome to attend.

The musical, which will begin each night at 7:00 p.m., is set in 1922 and about a girl named Millie who moves from Kansas to New York to modernize herself.  Along the way she finds unexpected love and must save a friend from a female orphanage.

Music at the Conservatory

Get out Friday night and watch Berklee Stars singer Amelia Ali  and the DMF Winners Concert, ECA, at the at 7 p.m.  If you can’t make it, come back on Saturday night and watch The Opera Under the Stars This concert also starts at 7 p.m.   Tickets are available here: http://www.sscmusic.org/evenings_under_the_stars.html.

Wendy & Mark at the Shipyard

If you will be dinning at the Shipyard Friday night, get out and enjoy a free outdoor concert at 7 p.m. as Wendy & Mark will be performing.

Musical Nights

Summer outdoor concerts will also be held at the on Friday and Saturday nights from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.   The jazz group the Nancy Carr Trio will perform on Friday and the  New Sound Assembly will perform as a Men’s Barber Shop Chorus on  Saturday.

Farmers Market

Get out to the Hingham Farmers Market this Saturday in the Bathing Beach Parking Lot from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Mini Golf & Bocce

Get out Friday- Sunday at the Hingham Shipyard and play in the playground, play a game of mini golf from 12 p.m. – 8 p.m. or rent out their bocce ball set and play on their new course for only $2.
