5 Things You Need to Know Today: July 10

1. Concerts on the Hopkinton Common begin tonight at 5 with the Westwood Swing Band.

2. The conversation with Dr. Jonathan Landman on Hopkinton Schools is postponed until July 20. Details to come later. Landman has a funeral to attend July 11.

3. The Planning Board meets Monday night. Members will talk with the Downtown Initiative Steering Committtee and discuss and possible adopt news site plan review submission requirements and procedures.

4. Thursday is Game Day at the Hopkinton Senior Center from 9:30 to noon. Meet your neighbors from Holliston, Ashland and Southborough and join in socializing and games. Bocce, ping pong, pool (billards) Wii, chair volleyball, cards and board games. Please call the senior center 508-497-9730 if you plan to attend.

5. See the N.E.W.T's ultimate Harry Potter Trivia Contest, Wednesday, July 13, 6:30 p.m. at the Hopkinton Public Library. The Top 10 local Hogwarts students in the O.W.L. tests (that's Ordinary Wizarding Levels to you Muggles out there!) will compete.
