• Celebrate Holliston returns Sept. 19 with parade, field day and new two-stage setup (hollistontownnews.com) — Holliston's signature Celebrate Holliston parade and field day returns Saturday, Sept. 19 at Damigella Field, with a new two-stage layout and expanded food-and-entertainment area. Expect 120 vendors, kids' inflatables, a chili contest, and the Citizen of the Year presentation, plus chances to support local businesses and even volunteer with the organizing nonprofit.

• Former The Voice contestant to perform at Holliston Jimmy Fund Fundraiser (hollistontownnews.com) — Holliston resident Bob McKee is hosting a Jimmy Fund Walk fundraiser at Rushford & Sons Brewhouse on Sunday, Sept. 13, featuring live music by former The Voice contestant Sam James. The event invites neighbors to enjoy an afternoon together while supporting cancer research and McKee's BBC23 Underdogs team goal.

• New student club hopes to help those without homes (hollistontownnews.com) — Holliston students are growing a local chapter of Advocacy for the Unhoused, raising money through bake and candle sales and volunteering in Boston shelters. The group is now collecting backpacks and toiletries, with Holliston Public Library serving as a convenient drop-off spot for residents who want to help.
