It's a good day for grilling or heading to CAA for Jazz at Sunset.

1. Jazz at Sunset with Kaoruko Pilkington this evening at 7 at the Cultural Arts Alliance field, 98 Hayden Rowe St.
2. The Lake Maspenock Fourth of July Boat Parade Sunday, July 3, at 2 p.m. Boats line up in front of Sandy Beach at 1:45. Rain date is July 4.
3. The Hopkinton Horribles Parade Monday at noon starting at the Town Common. This year's theme, Many Voices, One Town.

4. The Hopkinton Senior Center takes its early summer break next week to refresh and reload. The center opens again on July 11.
5. Thursday, July 7, at 6 p.m., at the Central Office Conference Room, 89 Hayden Rowe St., Jonathan Landman, the superintendent of Hopkinton Schools, will talk to interested residents and answer questions. There is a second Q&A from noon to 2 p.m., Monday, July 11, at the Hopkins School Library.
