2. Golf tournament fundraisers: 18 holes to benefit the Hopkinton Golf Team will take place Monday, Aug. 15, at noon at Shining Rock Golf Club in Northbridge. $500 a foursome, $125 per person. Golf to support the Hiller Football Program 8 a.m., Monday, Aug. 8, at Shining Rock. $150 per player gets you golf, a cart, a barbecue and more.

4. Friday Movies on the Common at 8:30. Three Stooges and Robin Hood. Separate features. (I think?) My favorite is 1991 Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves with Kevin Costner, Morgan Freeman, Sean Connery and always a great bad guy, Alan Rickman. I haven't seen the 2010 version with Russell Crowe. As to the question of Shemp or Curly, I'm a Curly guy. I know! There are arguments to be made for both men's savoir faire.

5. Thursday: If you haven't emailed jgilmore@hopkinton.k12.ma.us for July 7's Q&A with new schools Superintendent Jonathan Landman, you can probably go anyway to the Central Office Conference Room, 89 Hayden Rowe St. at 6 p.m. But, there may be no snacks for you if you don't say you are coming.
