495 Development Forum tonight.

1. Tonight there is a public forum on land preservation and development along the Rte. 495 corridor including Hopkinton and surrounding communities by the Metropolitan Area Planning Council. If you live or work in Hopkinton or surrounding communities, you are invited to Westborough High School. There is an open house from 4:30 to 6:30, a public meeting at 7. The program will include release of the MAPC's list of areas slated for development or preservation in Hopkinton and nearby towns. Issues include how to maintain Hopkinton and other communities' desirability, prosperity and fix transportation (aka traffic jams and walking safety)!

2. Baypath Humane Society's Bark in the Park is Sunday, June 19, from 10 to 2 at Hopkinton State Park. Bring your pet for fun and games and help raise funds to support more than 1,000 animals relinquished to Baypath each year. There are activities for all and lunch on the grill. There will also be raffle prizes, vendor booths and Baypath dog alumni. Adults $15, Kids $5. A new BMW convertible will be given away too. Tickets available here

3. RESCHEDULED TITLE MATCH:  The Hopkinton High Girls Varsity Tennis Team match against Winchester High  for the Division 2 state title has been rescheduled to  3:30 this afternoon at neutral site Lexington High School, 251 Waltham St. Tuesday's threat of rain caused the match to be postponed but the early forecast today isn't much better. MIAA officials will have to decide whether to move the match indoors or postpone it again.
